This is the biggest and densest colony of old plainsman (Hymenopappus scabiosaeus) I think I've ever seen. Mixed in are prairie verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida), Texas star (Lindheimera texana), Engelmann's daisy (Engelmannia peristenia), and some other natives.
